Prepare for feeding your baby with this live, virtual course taught by a Registered Nurse and Lactation Consultant. (If you are currently a breastfeeding mom, you may be interested in our Lactation Consultations.)

This class is not only educational for parents wanting to breast and/or bottle feed, but is also interactive and fun!

What to Expect

Class Duration: 2 hours
Cost:
$100 (includes 1 support person)

Taught by a Registered Nurse and Lactation Specialist.

Topics Include:

  • Anatomy and physiology of breastfeeding

  • How our bodies make milk

  • The first hour of life after delivery

  • Skin-to-skin contact with your baby after delivery and beyond

  • Initiating and sustaining a successful latch

  • Positioning your baby during breastfeeding

  • How to know your baby is getting enough

  • How and when to start pumping based on your unique situation

  • What is means to supplement a baby

  • How to introduce a bottle and select formula

  • Safe storage of breastmilk

  • Feeding expectations and routines for all newborns

  • What to expect with poops and pees for all newborns
